Overview:
As our Part-time Second Shift CNC Technician you will assist in building our Remote Vans as part of the Production Team. You will be responsible for operating the CNC machine (Laguna), including ensuring cut quality, correct tooling, settings and final quality control.
Outside of work – Your passions will converge as enthusiastic supporter of the #vanlife lifestyle, remote work adventures, and you’ll naturally represent Remote Vans as an enthusiastic ambassador and reputation guardian within the van life community.
General Responsibilities include such things as:
- Accurate and efficient operation of the CNC machine, including maintenance
- Maintain a clean work area within the CNC operational room
- Maintain inventory by checking stock, anticipating, and requesting supplies
- Accurately measure, mark, and cut lumber, panel products, including decorative laminates and solid surface materials
- Ensure implementation of safe and proper procedures of woodworking in accordance with local, state, and OSHA requirements
- Monitor the quality of components and clearly communicate to the Production Manager and Quality Control Lead on any issues
- Support and adhere to all system and company procedures
- Contribute to the overall success of the Production Team by co-elevating with all team members through collaboration, cooperation, and camaraderie

The Job
- Pay starting at $23/hr based on experience
Work Schedule:
- The typical second shift will run from 3:00pm – 8:00pm, Monday thru Friday; however, for the initial 1 to 2-week training period, this individual may be asked to work the first shift (7:00am – 3:30pm) alongside our Industrial Designer and first shift CNC Operator until such time that they are familiar and comfortable with our machine and processes.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous CNC operating experience
- Experience with CNC programming in VCarve or similar software
