Overview:
As an Automotive Electrician you will be a key player building out our technology-focused Class B Adventure Vans. You will be charged with developing AC and DC wiring diagrams for our vans, creating and installing wiring looms, and ensuring all connections are made safely and to code. You will identify efficiencies to be made and lead on implementation. You will be responsible for the highest level of quality and attention to detail in our builds.
Outside of work – Your passions will converge as enthusiastic supporter of the #vanlife lifestyle, remote work adventures, and you’ll naturally represent Remote Vans as an enthusiastic ambassador and reputation guardian within the van life community.
General Responsibilities include such things as:
- Developing AC & DC electrical diagrams and installation guides
- Building and installing wiring looms to code (internal and external)
- Wiring AC & DC components: relays, switches, inverters, lights, hydronic heaters, plugs
- Ensuring electrical systems and components are built to regulation standards
- Installing external lighting, awnings and external electrical accessories
- Inventory management of all electrical parts
- Implementing quality control processes to ensure build standards are upheld and adhered to across all products before vans leave the electrical bayÂ
- Overseeing the electrical team by setting daily tasks and ensuring all members deliver on their objectives
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Supporting and adhering to all system and company procedures
- Contributing to the overall success of the company by working with all team members through collaboration, cooperation, and camaraderie
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills:
Aptitude for learning new things quickly, high level of attention to detail, good problem solver, strong communication skills, active listener, juggler of many tasks simultaneously well, patient, emotionally intelligent, and a team player.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years’ electrical / electrician experience (auto electrical preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory / managerial role
