Friday Series #066 spotted at the Arctic Ocean!
Some adventures stick with you forever and for Nell, Preston, and Vera, their journey to the Arctic Ocean in their Remote Friday Series #066, lovingly named “Elaine,” is one of those stories.
After miles of wild terrain, scenic highways, and plenty of gravel, they finally rolled up to the Arctic Ocean
“The last leg of the gravel highway to Tuk (Tuktoyaktuk) where you can reach the Arctic Ocean after the classic Dempster Hwy is beautiful and bumpy!!! Would not want to do this road in anything but Friday Series”
With limited food options in town, they embraced the moment making a picnic lunch and espresso at their campsite before heading to the famous Grandma’s Kitchen for dinner.
“We really are grateful to have completed this trip safely and with tons of fun along the way. We’re looking forward to the way back down… now that we’ve done our recon, we know where we want to spend more time (and where we don’t).”
From crossing the Northwest Territories to exploring Inuvik and beyond, their Arctic adventure in Elaine is a perfect example of what the Friday Series Adventure Van was built for.
