As the Manufacturing Operations Supervisor, you will support the Production Manager by helping to coordinate the work of the production and assembly teams, employing a sense of urgency to ensure that our van assembly line operates at peak efficiency.
Your duties include executing on the production schedules as outlined by the Production Manager to ensure all delivery deadlines are met. Your time will primarily be spent walking the floor to supervise work and ensure that team members are performing their duties in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.Â
General Responsibilities:Â
- Contribute to the overall success of the Production and Assembly teams by motivating all team members through collaboration, cooperation, and camaraderie.
- Support the Production Manager with:
- Supervising the work of the production and assembly teams
- Flagging any potential issues or delays to the production schedule and working to promptly address them
- Training new employees and providing feedback
- Ensuring that quality control is strictly adhered to throughout the build process
- Evaluating tooling resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
- Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep the factory accident-free
- Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
 Qualifications/Skills:
- Must have experience in a manufacturing workshop setting in a shop foreman or similar role, having supervised a team of 10-50 employees
- Proven experience managing a team to meet deadlines
- Ability to supervise, inspect, and evaluate the work of others
- Knowledgeable with respect to quality standards, specifications, and safety standards for manufactured goods
- Prior experience working in or around manufacturing with a high level understanding of common manufacturing methods
- Proven track record of working in a fast-paced, position that requires high levels of attention to detail
The Job:
- Salary: $50,000-$65,000/year based on experience
- Working Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday with some weekend hours required; may require 1 to 2-day travel on occasion
