4 years ago, in an unused brewery building in the heart of Cincinnati, the founders of Remote Vans set out to build an Adventure Van. The vision was simple. Create a van that allowed those that used it the freedom to work, play and travel anywhere they wanted to go. With Tony Alexander’s background in technology and love of remote work, combined with Daryn Hillhouse’s military background and deep overlanding experience in Southern Africa, the duo brought a fresh perspective to the budding Adventure Van market.

1 van quickly became 2 and 2 became 10 and the team began to slowly grow around them. For a long time Remote Vans was less than a handful of dedicated men and women, working together in a dark and dilapidated garage to build custom vans. There was a lot of learning on the go and the team made every mistake in the book in order to get that first batch of 20 vans perfect. This initial batch of vans would lay the foundation for the vans you see at dealerships around the country today.
While there was little RV building experience to draw from in the early stages, the team made up for this in leaps and bounds by excelling in their various disciplines. Master craftsmanship was evident in the quality of the cabinetry, the disciplined electric wiring and the attention to detail on the fit and finish of the upholstery.
Remote Vans outgrew the building and in 2023 moved to a new, modern facility in St. Bernard where they gained their RVIA certification which opened the door to dealers stocking their vans in lots around the country.
The team has grown substantially and the company now attracts highly motivated and skilled professionals from across the country who share in the vision to go above and beyond for customers by building the most innovative, meticulously crafted, technologically advanced Adventure Vans in America.
The company debuted their Friday®, Oasis® and Aegis™ Series Adventure Vans in early 2024 and the market reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. These state-of-the-art vans offer their owners superior build quality, flexibility and the ability to head off road and stay out for longer.

Even though Remote Vans now sells its adventure vans through dealers many customers still choose to collect their van at the HQ facility in Cincinnati, OH.
